Audioplay.nl values your privacy. We only process personal data that is necessary for providing and improving our services and handle the information we collect about you and your use of our services with care. Your data will be never provided to third parties for commercial purposes.

This privacy policy applies to the use of the website and the services offered thereon by Audioplay.nl. The effective date of this privacy policy is February 18, 2025. Publishing a new version supersedes all previous versions. We also explain how we store and secure your data, and what rights you have regarding your personal data.

Online Store Software

Shopify

Our online store is developed using Shopify software. Personal data you provide to us for the purposes of our services is shared with Shopify. Shopify only accesses this data to provide technical support and will never use it for any other purpose.

Shopify is obligated to implement appropriate security measures under our agreement. These measures include SSL encryption and a strict password policy. Shopify is a certified credit card processor.

Shopify uses cookies to collect technical information about software usage. No personal data is stored. Shopify may share collected data within its own group to improve service provision and observes applicable legal retention periods. The EU/US Privacy Shield applies; data may be processed in the United States.

Email services

one.com

We use one.com for our business email communications. This provider has implemented appropriate technical and organizational measures to prevent data misuse, loss, and corruption. one.com does not have access to our mailboxes, and all email communications are treated confidentially.

Reviews

WebshopKeur

We collect reviews through the WebwinkelKeur platform. When leaving a review, you are required to provide your name and email address. WebwinkelKeur shares this information with us so we can link the review to your order. In some cases, WebwinkelKeur may contact you for further explanation.

When we invite you to leave a review, we share your name and email address with WebwinkelKeur. This information is used solely for this purpose. WebwinkelKeur has implemented appropriate technical and organizational security measures and may engage third parties for its services. We have given our permission for this engagement. All aforementioned safeguards also apply to these third parties.

Trustpilot

We also collect reviews through Trustpilot. When leaving a review, you are required to provide your name and email address. Trustpilot shares this information with us to link the review to your order. In some cases, Trustpilot may contact you for further clarification.

When we invite you to leave a review, we share your name and email address with Trustpilot. This information is used solely for this purpose. Trustpilot has implemented appropriate security measures and may engage third parties to provide its services. All safeguards regarding the protection of your personal data remain in effect.

Shipping and logistics

PostNL / DHL / GLS / DPD

We use the services of PostNL, DHL, GLS, and DPD to deliver orders. To ensure correct delivery, we share your name, address, and city of residence with the relevant carrier. This information is used exclusively for the execution of the agreement. If a carrier uses subcontractors, your information may also be shared with these parties.

Purpose of the data processing

We use your personal data solely to provide our services. Processing is always directly related to the order you place. Your data will not be used for targeted marketing.

If we wish to contact you at a later date for purposes other than those at your request, we will always explicitly request your consent. Data will only be shared with third parties when necessary for administrative or accounting obligations. These third parties are contractually or legally obligated to maintain confidentiality.

Automatically collected data

Data automatically collected by our website, such as IP address, browser and operating system, is only used to improve our services and is not considered personal data.

Legal requirements

In exceptional cases, Audioplay.nl may be legally obligated to provide personal data in connection with tax or criminal investigations by government agencies. In such situations, we only provide data when legally required and within the limits of the law.

Retention periods

We retain your data for as long as you are a customer. If you indicate that you no longer wish to use our services, this is considered a request for deletion. Your data will generally be retained for no longer than two years after the last contact or transaction, unless a legal retention obligation applies.

Invoice data containing personal data will be retained for as long as legally required. Employees will no longer have access to your client profile after the client relationship ends.

Your rights

Under the GDPR, you have various rights with regard to your personal data, including:

  • right to data portability

  • right to object

Requests can be submitted to our privacy contact person. You will receive a response within 30 days. To prevent misuse, we only send information to the email address we have on file. If necessary, we will ask for identification.

We use Google Analytics to gain insight into how our website is used. Google places cookies for this purpose. We have not given Google permission to use the information obtained for other Google services.
